Overview
James is a motivational speaker for foster youth, emphasizing on foster care, and how to improve the system. James and I go way back to working at Best Buy together. He got wind I was going to college to be a web developer, and then approached me to see if I would build him a site. I quickly agreed, anxious to get going.
Initial Deployment
James had a fellow speaker as a mentor, and suggested he deploy an existing WordPress theme, and that is where I came in. James came to me, theme in hand along with a vision.
Through the use of the WordPress admin panel, ACFs and custom CSS & Javascript, the end result produced a very sleek experience.
A Bit on Graphics
James needed some new photos for his website and overall brand. Through the use of a green screen studio and a DSLR, we took the raw photos.
I then moved into Photoshop to create composites of James speaking in a stadium, demonstrating martial arts in a dojo, and others. The color palette was picked directly from his existing logo and branding.
